Terms of Service

The rules for using TranscriptClip.

Last updated: 2026-10-03

Agreement

By using TranscriptClip ("the service", "we") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What the service does

TranscriptClip turns the speech in a public short video — currently Instagram Reels and TikTok videos — into text that you can copy or download as TXT, SRT or VTT. We do not offer video downloads.

Your responsibilities

  • Only submit content you are allowed to use. Submit links to public videos that you own, or that you are authorized by the rights holder to process. You are responsible for how you use any transcript.
  • Do not submit private, friends-only or login-restricted videos, and do not try to get around platform access controls.
  • Do not use the service to infringe copyright, harass people, or break any law or platform rule.
  • Do not abuse the service — for example by automated mass requests, scraping, or attempts to bypass the free limits.

No affiliation

TranscriptClip is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok or ByteDance. Platform names are used only to describe which links work.

Free plan and credits

  • The free plan includes a limited number of transcripts per day. We may change the free allowance at any time.
  • Paid credits are bought once; there is no subscription. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and then expire.
  • One credit covers a video up to 3 minutes; longer videos use one more credit per extra 3 minutes.
  • If a transcript fails, no credit is used.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

Accuracy

Transcripts are generated automatically and may contain mistakes, especially with music, accents or overlapping speech. Check important details before you rely on them.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be available at all times. Platforms may change how their videos are shared, which can stop some links from working.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
