Changelog

What changed in TranscriptClip, newest first.

RedNote short links work again. Links copied with Share → Copy link in the RedNote app (xhslink.com/o/…) were turned down with a message asking for a Share link, even though they were Share links. RedNote had started sending these links through its login page, and we lost the note on the way. We now stop before the login page. If one failed for you, paste it again. The failed try wasn't charged.

No more made-up text on music. A video with only instrumental music sometimes came back with a stray line such as "Thank you." It now fails as having no speech, and isn't charged.

Better Spanish, French and German. When you pick one of these under Spoken language, we use a larger speech model that got more words right in our tests.

Clearer audio from X videos. When a video offers several audio tracks, we now take one of at least 48 kbps instead of the smallest. On some X videos the smallest track made the transcript get words wrong.

Transcripts inside your AI assistant. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants that support MCP can now fetch a transcript from a video link you paste in the chat. Setup steps.

Pick the spoken language. If auto-detect gets the language wrong, for example with a strong accent, choose it under Spoken language before you press Get the script.

Report a failed link. When a link fails and you think it shouldn't have, one click sends it to us so we can look into it.

Copy for ChatGPT. One button copies the transcript, ready to paste into ChatGPT or another AI tool.

Spanish pages. The home page, the TikTok, Instagram and YouTube pages, and pricing are now in Spanish. Spanish-speaking visitors see a prompt to switch.

Try it without an account. Your first transcript needs no sign-up. Creating an account adds 30 minutes that never expire.

Faster answers on login-only Instagram posts. A post that only shows to logged-in viewers now fails in about 4 seconds, and isn't charged.

Creator names on RedNote. RedNote transcripts show the creator's name instead of a user ID.

Four more platforms. YouTube (videos and Shorts up to 10 minutes), X, Facebook and RedNote links now work, alongside TikTok and Instagram.

Pay by the minute. One credit covers one minute of video, rounded up per video. Monthly or yearly plans start at $5.90 a month, and one-time credit packs never expire.
